Though she is less known for her acting skills, Celina Jaitley is better known in the tabloids for her support for gay and lesbian rights activists. Stepping up on the gas to cement her association with the queer crowd the celebrity has inaugurated “Kashish”, which its organizers claim to be the biggest gay film festival in India. The festival which begins on April 22 will showcase more than 100 gay, lesbian, and transsexual-themed films from 25 countries."This is a festival which brings together filmmakers, writers, intellectuals, academicians, activists, celebrities and stars with both queer and mainstream audience in an interactive celebration of queer experience," Celina said.
